If you are interested in coming on retreat but can’t take the time at the moment, or maybe you’re a little hesitant about taking the plunge to do a residential retreat, then these weekends are a perfect opportunity to come and meet Burgs and engage with some of the teachings he has to offer.

These weekends are both fun and dynamic, and yet the depth of what you can learn over these two days can be deeply rewarding. They will always include a mixture of sitting meditation, relaxing chi yoga and dynamic chi kung. You will work to settle and still your mind and body, by clearing out any accumulated mental, emotional and physical energy that creates the dysfunction and disharmony in our lives.

Whilst some workshops are focused on different aspects of the teachings available (as per their title), the weekends vary in their approach. Burgs responds to each specific group in front of him and gives the series of teachings that is most beneficial to the attendees.

Whether you just want to come and try something new that can help find peace and happiness in your life, or are already practicing meditation with Burgs and wish to ‘plug’ back in, this is a wonderful opportunity to relieve stress, re-gain clarity and have some time out from your busy schedule.

The workshops are held near the beautiful West Sussex town of Midhurst, at the Cowdray Chapel. The Chapel is an hour and twenty minutes drive from central London. The closest rail station is Haselmere, and journey times are about 50 minutes from London Waterloo. At the bottom of this page is a map of the local area, taxi information as well as a list of local B&Bs should you wish to stay overnight.

Weekend Workshop Pricing

2 day weekend workshops are priced at £120 for both days. Please email us at bookings@theartofmeditation.org to reserve a place, and click here for deposit information.
Concessions: While we do think that this is the right price for the day’s workshop and teaching, we do realize that there are people that would like to attend but cannot afford to. If this is the case please get in contact as we do offer concessions, and would much rather see you there than not.

Practical Information

These days run as a 10.00 arrival for registration with a prompt 10.30 start, and finishes at around 18.00. We would ask that you attend both days of the workshop, to get the most benefit from the workshop. Old students are asked to come on the first day if only attending one day, unless this is not possible. Please contact us if you have any questions about this.
As it is very deep work, we would also suggest that you plan an easy Saturday evening to allow you process whats gone on during the day and get the most out of Sunday.

There is a local farm shop across the road where you can buy your lunch from locally grown produce. Otherwise you can bring your own lunch.
