All of us are already enlightened if only we could access that part of us that knows this.

Within each and every one of us lies the very essence of our being, the pristine fully awakened state of pure awareness. It lies resting effortlessly within itself behind the noise and chatter of our lower self focused mind, and for most people it is neither accessed nor recognised. It is called many things in many traditions; the Buddha Nature, spontaneous presence, the Tao, divine consciousness. It is the fundamental state of being that all religious teachings hint and and point to.

Yet it is not within the grasp of only the saints and mystics, but can be accessed by anyone who is sincerely willing to let go (even for a moment) the lower mind and its obsession with “Me”.

This basic state of pure awareness lies at the heart of all Burgs’ teachings even while we are learning the trainings and refinement of the lower mind. However on this very special retreat we will be working to establish a deep and lasting connection to this state of awareness, so that we can bring in moments of stillness and connection into our everyday waking consciousness.

The introduction to this state of spontaneous presence is only the beginning of a profound journey onto the essence of our being and our boundless capacity for love, appreciation and compassion. As our Harmonious Mind stabilises the depth of our access to this Heart Essence, it brings an ever deepening fulfilment of connectedness and peace.

This retreat is now being run as a Beginners Usada Healing meditation retreat with content that leans towards the more direct path to the awakened mind as described above. All are welcome including those with no experience of meditation.
