Orphanages in Burma

There are now 3 main orphanages which we supports in Burma. This support has been ongoing since the cyclone hit the Irrawaddy Delta in the south of the country in 2008.

Our aim is to try to provide some help in a country that has given us so much through the Dhamma. Burgs had already visited an orphanage/school in Yangon that was run by the Buddhist monastic community where children in need are housed, clothed, fed and taught both a secular curriculum and the Dhamma along with meditation classes. With the level of poverty there, it was somewhere that with not very much, we could make a real difference.
