This is the first time that Burgs has found somewhere permanent to stay and meditate whilst providing a space for others to come and develop their own practice.
Students are welcome to come for as little or as long as they wish. They may wish to join in with the structured retreats that are scheduled at Dhamma Vihara, or may wish to do their own practice.
Outside of structured retreats, students are expected to practice at their own pace, working with an unstructured timetable, but Burgs will make himself available at specific times if he is around to help those who have questions about their practice and seek clarification.
The long retreat environment provides a different aspect of meditation practice. Whilst being able to seek guidance from Burgs, and developing a practice that is most suited for you personally, you will have the space and time to discover and develop a deeper attitude to practice, whilst supported by the unspoilt environment all around.
Over the coming months we will be adding a variety of new retreats to be held at Dhamma Vihara which will help support long term practice.

Surrounded by natural forest, Dhamma Vihara is a stone and wood group of ancient buildings, carefully restored and renovated. Isolated and reachable through a long private road, Dhamma Vihara can guarantee peace, silence, stunning views and a residential quality of high standard.
Inside the property’s boundaries one can find an ancient stone circle (Cromlech) and adventurous trails between enormous boulders and ageless Oaks. Dhamma Vihara is only a stone’s throw from the famous GR10 National Trail, the Pyrenees track connecting the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean (a two months walk!).
It is located in an unspoilt, natural mountain environment, which is home to Wild Boars, Pyrenees Vultures, Eagles, Salamanders, Blue Lizards and other fauna and flora.
