[groups_member group=”Registered”]’Just Let Go’. This sounds so simple but it isn’t at all. I know what it’s like to be under a lot of stress and I’m used to people telling you to let go – meaning don’t stress about things so much. That’s what I thought Burgs meant to start with. But I have gradually come to realise that it means let go of EVERYTHING. Let go of your thoughts, views, preoccupations. Let go of your body, stop holding it in some sort of state of tension as if you can control it completely. Let go your sense of self, how you think other people see you, your separateness from everyone else. Let go trying to manage your life – and that means trusting that it will be OK, that life will unfold in the way it’s meant to, and whatever you get will be what you need, and if you try and interfere you will only make it worse. I can’t do all this yet! But coming to understand it better has been a combination of Burgs’ teachings and time spent meditating. I always think I understand the teachings and then I find that my understanding of them evolves. In a couple of years’ time I’ll probably look at this and think, I really didn’t understand it at all then. NOW I understand it.[/groups_member]
