Learning to connect to stillness is like learning how to hit the reset button. When we know how to do this, we know that no matter how crazy life can get, we always know there’s a place where we can just stop, connect to and feel that stillness within us.
This course introduces the basis for success with all aspects of meditation. With careful guidance from Burgs you will quickly learn to connect to a deep sense of inner stillness and our bodies innate healing intelligence. We also make inroads on the journey to building your levels of concentration.

The course is delivered in lessons which will be available every week from when you start the course. It is however up to you as to when you move onto the next lesson. Some weeks you will find that you only have a guided meditation. Some weeks you may find that you are using the same guided meditation but have a supplementary discourse to read or listen to.
As with all our online courses, you will be supported every step of the way. You will have a login to a dedicated course website where you will access the material. You can also seek personal guidance from the teacher through emails if you should need further clarification at any stage of the way.
With the stresses and pace of modern life ever increasing, many of us find ourselves overwhelmed by the demands that life asks of us. We realise that we simply need to breathe out and take a break, but find it hard to find the space to do this. One of the aims of this course is to help you find that space, so that you can take that deep breath in and breathe a sigh of relief.
This course also functions as a starting platform in developing mental fitness. We all take seriously the notion of physical fitness and we know the profound impact it has on our quality of life. But not many of us think about our mental fitness in the same way. Our minds are the lens through which we experience every minute of every day for our entire lives.
Improving your mental fitness will polish that lens, enhancing how you engage with, appreciate and live all the moments in your life.
And for those of you who already have an established meditation practice, this course will help deepen your relationship to the Awakened Mind.
This course will help you establish a simple meditation practice at home which will serve you for many years to come.
The programme is available to total beginners with no experience, as well as to those who have been meditating for many many years.
No previous experience of meditation is necessary to join this course. You may simply be curious and wish to start investigating meditations true potential.
Although this course is aimed at beginners, the practice taught on this course is one of the highest teachings in meditation. As such this course is also recommended to those of you who have spent many years practicing meditation.
Some of you may be asking meditation to help with some kind of health condition, such as stress, anxiety or insomnia.
This course has the potential to help you find some space and help you start to engage with your healing process.
If you haven’t attended a Level 1 Foundation retreat or weekend workshop with us yet, then we highly recommend you consider doing so.
– The course will build up the basic A-B-C’s of setting up a meditation practice.
– You will learn to settle and establish a connection to inner stillness.
– Learning to develop a supportive meditative attitude.
– Discover how to quickly reorganise your mind into a coherent state.
– Learn how to connect to our bodies innate healing intelligence.
– Learning to come into a state of coherence so that we can enter into a restorative state.
– You will start to learn to Concentrate. To learn to concentrate is probably the hardest thing to do, but the most rewarding.
– Deepening into the practice that gradually points to the Awakened state.
Our recommendation is that for best results to practice each meditation at least 4 – 5 times a week. It really is like going to the gym. The more regular your practice, the fitter your mind will become and the more you will feel the benefit from your efforts.
The meditations will start from 15 mins on average and gradually develop to 25 – 30 minutes.
If your time is limited, all of the relevant instructions are included in the guided meditation.
The supplementary discourses and reading material provided are optional.
The online course has taken my meditation to a whole new level, not just the practice but also my understanding of it. Burgs explains deep principles in an easy to follow way and I find his discourses both interesting and profound.
Burgs’ instructions and discourses are fresh, clear and engaging, as is the presentation of the website, so that I look forward to the moment when the next weekly lesson drops into the inbox. He has also been quick and generous with his responses to questions.
